Hardens Top 100 Restaurants Methodology

I came across a very interesting thread recently by TomEats on Twitter where Hardens explain in some detail how they conclude one restaurant is better than another in their yearly Top 100 list. I had wondered myself how Hardens actually do this given multiple restaurants may have the same scores from their scoring system.

The thread can be seen at: https://twitter.com/EaterWriter/status/1206902992198406145

Interestingly, like Michelin and The AA, Hardens claim the Top 100 ranking is based only on the food score they award.

As always, this proves once again that all restaurant lists and guides are subjective, but they do generate some healthy debate.
